METHOD FOR PRODUCING, BY PLANT CELLS, $g(a) 1?-ANTITRYPSIN AND ITS ALLELES, AND PRODUCTS CONTAINING THE RESULTING $g(a) 1?-ANTITRYPSIN |
abstract |
he invention concerns a method for producing α1-antitrypsin (α1-AT), or alleles thereof characterised in that it consists in: (i) introducing in the monocotyledon plant cells, a nucleic acid comprising a sequence coding for α1-antitrypsin (α1-AT) or for an allele thereof, the alleles being differentiated from natural human α1-AT by one or several substitution(s), deletion(s) or insertion(s) of amino acids, and optionally a sequence coding for a selective agent; (ii) selecting the cells having integrated the nucleic acid in stable manner; (iii) propagating the transformed cells in culture, or regeneration of entire chimerical or transgenic plants; (iv) recuperating and optionally purifying the resulting α1-antitrypsin or its alleles. |
