abstract The invention relates to novel bleaching agents and disinfectants containing - in relation to said agents - (a) 1-6 wt. % alkali metal hypochlorites, b) 0.5-5 % alkylene glycol ether of formula (I) R<1>O(CHR<2>CH2O)nR<3>, wherein R<1> and R<3> represent independently of each other linear or branched alkyl radicals with 1-8 carbon atoms, R<2> represents hydrogen or methyl and n represents 1-4, (c) 0.5-5 wt. % alky ether sulphates and/or aminoxides, (d) 0-4 wt. % fatty acid salts and (e) 0-2 wt. % alkali metal hydroxides, with the proviso that the sum of the above-mentioned quantities with water and optionally other auxiliary substances and additives amounts to 100 wt. %. The inventive preparations have outstanding cleaning properties for solid surfaces, high viscosity and very good storage stability, dispersibility for colorant pigments and chlorine stability.
