Hybrid pigments contain benzimidazolone triphenodioxazine compound(s) (I), and pyrrolo-[3,4-c]-pyrrole compound(s) (II) or thiazine-indigo compound(s) (III) or quinacridone compound(s) (IV) or copper phthalocyanine compound(s) (V). [Image] [Image] [Image] [Image] [Image] X : hydrogen or halogen atom; R 1, R 2hydrogen, 1-18C alkyl, (unsubstituted) phenyl which is mono- or polysubstituted by halogen or nitro groups, 1-8C alkyl, trifluoromethyl or 1-2C alkoxy; A, B : bisubstituted phenyl, bisubstituted naphthyl or pyridyl; R 3, R 4; R 5, R 6residues which consist of atoms necessary to complete a benzene ring which is optionally substituted with halogen, (thio)alkyl, trifluoromethyl, nitro, cyano, alkoxy, (alkyl)amino, phenoxy, phenylamino, phenylthio, acyl(oxy) or acylamino; R 7, R 8, R 9and R 10hydrogen, halogen, 1-5C alkoxy or 1-5C alkyl; and n : 0-16 Independent claims are also included for the following: (i) process for preparing hybrid pigment which involves mixing crude benzimidazolone triphenodioxazine compound with thiazine-indigo or diketopyrrolo [3,4-c] pyrrole or quinacridone or copper phthalocyanine pigment in concentrated sulfuric acid or poly phosphoric acid and precipitating the obtained products; (ii) method of using hybrid pigments for mass pigmentation of substrates, preferably synthetic polymer, synthetic resin and regenerated fiber, as colorant for printing ink or textiles, electrophotographic toners and developers for ink-jet inks, powder coating materials and cosmetic compositions; (iii) printing inks or printed textiles comprising hybrid pigments and (iv) synthetic polymers, synthetic resins and regenerated fibers comprising hybrid pigments. |
