Gruppe. nund 0 bis 70 Gew.-% Alkali- oder Erdalkalimetalloxid.There is a process for the preparation of pyrroles of general formula I. wherein R 1 , R 2 , R 3 and R 4 are identical or different and denote hydrogen atoms, alkyl groups with 1 to 12 carbon atoms or cycloalkyl groups with 3 to 12 carbon atoms, by dehydrating pyrrolidines of the general formula II wherein R 1 , R 2 , R 3 and R 4 have the meanings given above, in the presence of a supported noble metal catalyst. The dehydrogenation is carried out at temperatures in the range from 150 to 300 ° C. and pressures from 0.01 to 50 bar and the noble metal catalyst contains 30 to 100% by weight. c) palladium on an oxide of a rare earth or an oxide of an element of the 4th group (IV. subgroup) of the periodic table or d) a platinum / palladium mixture on aluminum oxide, a rare earth oxide or an oxide of an element of the 4th group. and 0 to 70% by weight of alkali or alkaline earth metal oxide. |
