titleOfInvention | Planographic printing plate precursor containing metal compounds, and process for producing planographic printing plates |
abstract | A planographic printing plate precursor (1) comprises a substrate having an image recording layer containing a metal compound and a hydrophilic polymer containing at least two hydrophilic groups. The metal compound causes a decarboxylation reaction by heat and releases a polyvalent metal ion. The hydrophilic polymer can coordinate with the polyvalent cation. An independent claim is also included for manufacturing of a planographic plate comprising exposing a planographic printing plate precursor image-wise to infrared laser light to form a hydrophobic region on a surface of the precursor. The precursor comprises a substrate with a image recording layer containing a metal complex compound, a hydrophilic polymer having crosslinked main chain and a substance capable of converting light to heat. |
