titleOfInvention | Compositions for the transdermal and dermal administration of biologically active agents |
abstract | Compositions for the transdermal and dermal administration of biologically active substances, suited to increase the absorption of therapeutically and cosmetically active agents both in the cutaneous tissues and through the skin, comprising, in addition to an effective amount of one or more biologically active agents, one or more penetration enhancers consisting of monoalkanolamides and dialkanolamides of carboxylic acids having at least 8 carbon atoms, one or more absorption assistants consisting of monoethanolamides and diethanolamides of carboxylic acids having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms and, optionally, further biologically acceptable permeation adjuvants and excipients. The invention also concerns transdermal therapeutic systems (TTS) the matrix of which contains, in addition to a pressure-sensitive adhesive, a composition as specified above. |
