Synthetic organic particles each constituted of a corenmade from an organic polymer and a surface layer formed fromna methacrylate resin on the surface of the core. In one ofnthe particles, the core is made from a copolymer comprisingn80 to 99 weight percent of a lower alkyl acrylate and 1 ton20 weight percent of a polyfunctional vinyl monomer tonexhibit rubberlike elasticity, while in another of thenparticles, the core is made from a copolymer of a reactivenbenzotriazol compound and a (meth)acrylic monomer to exhibitnan ultraviolet absorbing activity. These synthetic organicnparticles can be suitably added to cosmetics to impart anfeeling of creamy softness and an ultraviolet screening powernto them. |
