abstract The present invention relates to odour control particles for use in absorbent articles. The odour control particles comprise odour control active materials which have a density less than that of the odour control particles. The odour control active materials are dry pressure compacted in the absence of a binder to form the odour control particles. In addition the compacted odour control particles also comprise a liquid activated particle separation means which causes the particle to separate out into its individual components upon contact with liquid discharge, thereby providing more effective odour control.
