titleOfInvention Sealed battery in which an electrolyte-injection hole is favorably sealed
abstract A sealed battery has a generator element enclosednwithin an external casing (10). An opening in the externalncasing is covered by a closure cap (30) in which an injectionnhole (34) for injecting electrolyte is provided. The injectionnhole (34) is sealed using a sealing plug (35) which is composed ofna support member (352) that is fixed on a surface of the closurencap (320) so as to cover the injection hole (34) and a plugging membernthat is at least partially formed of an elastic materialnand is supported by the support member so as to plug theninjection hole (34). The plugging member is formed of annelastic material and is pressed into the injection holenby the support member. As a result, an airtight seal cannbe easily and securely achieved for the injection hole.nThe support member can be made large to facilitate handling, nthereby reducing the likelihood of the sealing plug beingnimproperly supplied during attachment to the injectionnhole (34).
