A glass substrate having a transparent conductive filmnof SnO 2 is disclosed, in which the transparent conductive filmnis prevented from developing hair cracks even when it has anthickness of 5,000 Å or larger. The glass substrate comprisesnan alkali-containing base glass plate 10 having a smooth surfacenand, formed thereon in this order, an undercoat 12 for impartingnroughness which has a thickness of 150 Å or larger and is madenof a crystalline metal oxide, a continuous alkali barrier filmn14 made of SiO 2 and having such a small thickness as to reflectnthe surface roughness of the undercoat, and a transparentnconductive film 16 made of SnO 2 doped with one or morenappropriate impurities and having a thickness of 5,000 Å ornlarger. The transparent conductive film has an adhesionnstrength of 37 mN or higher as measured in accordance withn"Adhesion Test for Thin Film Deposited on Glass Substrate" asnprovided for in JIS R3255-1997. |
