abstract | (a) 10 bis 90 Gew. % mindestens eines hydrophilen Monomers A, dasneine N-Vinylgruppe aufweist und dessen Polymerisationsgeschwindigkeitnbei pH-Werten oberhalb von 7 ein Maximum besitzt,nund (b) 10 bis 90 Gew. % mindestens eines monoethylenisch ungesättigtennhydrophoben Monomers B, dessen Polymerisationsgeschwindigkeitnbei pH-Werten unterhalb von 7 ein Maximum besitzt, nin Gegenwart eines radikalischen Startersystems derart copolymerisiertnwerden, dass der pH-Wert im Verlauf der Polymerisation umn2 bis 5 pH-Werteinheiten abnimmt.A process for the preparation of aqueous copolymer dispersions by free-radical polymerization of ethylenically unsaturated monomers in aqueous solution is described in which (a) 10 to 90% by weight of at least one hydrophilic monomer A which has an N-vinyl group and whose rate of polymerization has a maximum at pH values above 7, and (b) 10 to 90% by weight of at least one monoethylenically unsaturated hydrophobic monomer B, the polymerization rate of which has a maximum at pH values below 7, be copolymerized in the presence of a radical starter system in such a way that the pH value decreases by 2 to 5 pH value units in the course of the polymerization.n n n The copolymer dispersions prepared in this way and those obtainable therefromnCopolymers are suitable as auxiliaries for pharmaceutical,ncosmetic or agrochemical preparations and fornManufacture of paints and coatings as well as gluesnand adhesives. |
