abstract |
An anchor assembly (12) for embedding in a bone tunnel is disclosed. An autologous or artificial tendons grafts (10) is looped through aperture (13) in the head of an insertion element (14). A stabilizing element (15) is embedded in the bone tunnel by screwing into a stepped tunnel for example. The insertion element (14) is held in the stabilizing element (15) by compression fit, but could be held by an attachment that requires twisting, using a ratchet, or other attachment mechanism. |
