titleOfInvention Polypeptide fragments of factor VIIIC, corresponding probes and DNA sequences and DNA constructs
abstract The present invention relates to a process for the synthesis of polypeptide fragments of human Factor VIIIC,nparticularly a fragment having a molecular weight of 77/80 kd, DNA sequences encoding portions of thisnpolypeptide fragment, extrachromosomal elements comprising these DNA sequences, a complex probe fornscreening DNA sequences, corresponding DNA constructs, and monoclonal antibodies prepared with annimmunogen comprising the above polypeptide fragments. The 77/80 kd fragment may be used for preparing anprotein composition comprising a calcium bridged complex of the 77/80 kd polypeptide fragment with a 92.5 kdnfragment, exhibiting a coagulation activity similar to that of human Factor VIIIC.
