Internal tissue medication permeating apparatus and method |
abstract |
An apparatus is described for selectivelyninducing the permeation of a liquid to a region of anstenosis in a blood vessel in a patient's body. Thenapparatus includes an external electrode (13) fornpositioning outside the patient's body and a cathetern(10) carrying an internal electrode (38) fornpositioning adjacent a stenosis in a blood vessel innthe body. The apparatus includes means for inducingnan electric field between the internal electrode (38)nand the external electrode (13) which is pulsed innphase with the patient's cardiac rhythm. |
