Sustained-release preparation containing a metal salt of a peptide |
abstract |
A sustained-release preparation containing a water-insolublenor slightly water-soluble polyvalent metal saltnof a water-soluble peptide type of physiologically activensubstance except for an endothelin antagonist and anbiodegradable polymer. nThe present invention is a sustained-release preparationnthat is highly efficient in incorporating a water-solublenpeptide type of physiologically active substance except fornan endothelin antagonist and suppresses initial burst ofnthe water-soluble peptide type of physiologically activensubstance except for an endothelin antagonist. Thensustained-release preparation of the present invention isncapable of releasing the water-soluble peptide type ofnphysiologically active substance except for an endothelinnantagonist while retaining its bioactivity afternadministration in vivo . Furthermore, the water-solublenpeptide type of physiologically active substance except fornan endothelin antagonist in the sustained-releasenpreparation is kept stable for a long period of time, withnlittle loss of bioactivity. |
