titleOfInvention | Glycoldispersion of anorganic powder, process for producing the same, and polyester composition containing the dispersion |
abstract | A glycol dispersion of an inorganic powder, characterized by comprising a glycol and dispersed therein an inorganic powder whose surface has been treated with a dispersant having a solubility in 20 °C water of 5 (g/100 g-water) or higher and by containing a specific amount of water and/or methanol. Thus, a high transportation efficiency is attained because water, methanol, or a glycol need not be transported in a slurry form and can be transported as a powder. Furthermore, a considerable simplification in the production process steps and a cost reduction are attainable because neither a distillation apparatus for replacing water, methanol, etc. with a glycol nor the wet-grinding step is necessary. In the glycol dispersion, the inorganic powder retains or recovers the shape and size of the powder before drying or in the initial state, and has satisfactory dispersibility. |
