| abstract | TINA based telecommunications system for handling terminal mobility, comprising TINA Computational Objects called Metering Manager and User Agent. A new TINA Computational Object, Mobile User Metering Manager (MUMM) comprises a subset of processing rules and attributes of both said User Agent and (UA) said Metering Manager (MM). Said subset of rules and attributes refer to the logging of accounting events corresponding to service usage by a specific user in a specific visited domain. The rules and attributes of said subset are compatible with those of said already existing Metering Manager. Moreover, said rules and attributes are user dependent and comprise attributes specific to a specific user, compatible with the attributes of the User Agent. For facilitating long term accounting for a user residing in a visited domain for a period of time, accounting events generated as a result of the user's service usage in the visited domain are logged by said new TINA Computational Object (MUMM), and stored there until the time the user leaves the visited domain, while once the user leaves the domain, the user's accounting information is transferred to the user's home domain. <IMAGE> |
