abstract |
A biaxially-oriented polyester film includes at least twonlayers and at least one outermost layer is composed of anpolyester having a rigid amorphous content of about 10 to 55%.nThe biaxially-oriented polyester film has a longitudinalnYoung's Modulus of at least about 4.5 GPa. It can be obtainednby stretching an unoriented film in the longitudinal directionnat a draw ratio of 3 to 8 in three stages at about 70 to 160°C,nthen in a transverse direction at a draw ratio of about 3 to 8nand at about 80 to 150°C and then heat-treating and cooling thenheat-treated film to ordinary temperature in three or morenstages at 180 to 50°C. |
