abstract | A process for producing a lead zirconate titanate compound, which involves the combination of an aqueous solution of a lead salt with a titanium alkoxide compound, followed by the addition of concentrated nitric acid, an aqueous solution of a zirconium salt, and an excess of oxalic acid to yield an oxalate. The pH of the solution containing the oxalate is adjusted by the use of ammonia or an amine, before the oxalate is calcined to yield the lead zirconate titanate compound. |
