A wholly aromatic polyamide (aramid) fiber syntheticnpaper sheet includes 70 - 96 wt% of an aramid staplenfiber component which includes 30 wt% or more of a para-typenaramid staple fibers each having two or more annularnprojections (DL1,DL2,DL3) spaced from each other and having an averagenratio R/γ of the largest diameter R of the annularnprojections to the smallest diameter γ of the annularnprojection-free portions (DS1,DS2,DS3,DS4) of the staple fiber, of 1.1 ornmore, and 4 - 30 wt% of a binder component, namely anresinous binder and/or heat resistant fibrids. |
