The present invention provides a highnperformance glucose sensor which can demonstrate highnstability against preservation and produces only a lownblank value. The glucose sensor comprises an electricallyninsulating base plate, an electrode system formed on thenbase plate, and a reaction layer which is formed inncontact with or in the vicinity of the electrode systemnand contains at least a glucose dehydrogenase whosencoenzyme is pyrrolo-quinoline quinone, the reaction layernfurther containing an additive such as phthalic acid. |
