abstract | A nutrient infusion preparation comprises a solutionncontaining a fat emulsion consisting essentially of fatnparticles having a mean particle size of 0.003 to 0.100 µm andna dispersion medium, and a solution containing electrolytes andnamino acids. Also the nutrient infusion preparation comprisesna fat emulsion (A) consisting essentially of fat particlesnhaving a mean particle size of 0.003 to 0.100 µm and a dispersionnmedium, and a solution (B) containing electrolytes and/or aminonacids. A container having a plurality of chambers which arenisolated from each other by partitions capable of being easilynopened, whose respective chambers contain the fat emulsion (A)nand said solution (B) and optionally a solution (C) containingnsaccharides. The infusion preparation of the presentninvention supplies various nutrient components including fattynacids required biologically to patients and enablesnamelioration or prevention of essential fatty acid deficienciesnduring TPN therapy. Further, the infusion preparation enablesnvisual identification of insoluble foreign bodies present innan infusion container and can be administered to patientsnthrough a sterilization filter. |
