A medical device comprising an elongated tube having anproximal section and a distal section, said tube havingnan annular wall with an outer surface and an innernsurface that defines a central passageway that extendsnsubstantially the length of the tube, said tube beingnconstructed of a first material and a second materialnhaving less stiffness than the first material, the wallnof the tube gradually changing from the first material tonthe second material to form a transition section betweennthe proximal section and the distal section, the firstnand second materials being gradually combined in thentransition section and naturally adhering to each othernto form a wall gradually changing from one substantiallynmade up of the first material to one substantially madenup of the second material to form a continuous unbrokenntube of materials having different properties and withoutnabrupt joints, the distal section being made of thensecond material and therefore less still than thenproximal section. |
