A novel dinuclear metallocene complex is disclosed,nwhich is represented by the following formula (I):n nwherein M 1 and M 2 are the same or different and arenindependently selected from the group consisting ofnGroup IIIB, Group IVB and Group VB transition metals;neach X is the same or different and is indepedently annanionic ligand with -1 valence, which is selected fromnthe group consisting H, C 1-20 hydrocarbyl, halogen, C 1-20 nalkoxy, C 1-20 aryloxy, NH 2 , NHR 11 , NR 11 R 12 , -(C=O)NH 2 , -n(C=O)NHR 13 , and -(C=O)NR 13 R 14 , wherein R 11 , R 12 , R 13 and R 14 nare C 1-20 alkyl; i is an integer from 1 to 3; j is anninteger from 1 to 3, R 1 , R 2 , R 3 , R 4 , R 5 , R 6 ', R 7 and R 8 arenthe same or different and are independently H, a C 1-20 nlinear, branched or cyclic hydrocarbyl group, or a C 2-4 ncyclic hydrocarbylene group which forms a C 4-6 fused ringnsystem; Y 1 and Y 2 are the same or different and each is annelectron-donating group independently selected from anGroup 15 or Group 16 element; R 9 and R 10 are the same orndifferent and each is a divalent radical selected from (-C(R 15 ) 2 -) p ,n(-Z(R 15 ) 2 -) p , or (-Z(R 15 ) 2 -C(R 15 ) 2 -) p , Z beingnsilicon, germanium, or tin, R 15 being C 1-6 alkyl, p beingnan integer from 1 to 4; R 16 is a divalent unsubstitutednor alkyl-substituted cyclic alkylene group; and each R 17 nis independently a C 1-20 linear, branched or cyclicnhydrocarbyl group. By using the dinuclear metallocenencomplex as the catalyst, a high molecular weight olefinnpolymer can be obtained. |
