The composition for a hole injecting andntransporting layer which pertains to the presentninvention is a composition for use in patterningnformation of a hole injecting and transporting layer ofnan organic EL element using an ink-jet type recordingnhead, and comprises a conductive compound (the holeninjecting and transporting layer component) and ansolvent; the contact angle with respect to the materialnmaking up the ink discharge nozzle face of the ink-jetntype recording head is within the range of 30° to 170°,nthe viscosity is within the range of 1 cps to 20 cps, andnthe surface tension is within the range of 20 dyne/cm ton70 dyne/cm. Through these physical characteristics,nthere is provided a composition for a hole injecting andntransporting layer that allows optimization of materialnand element design to be carried out, and that allowsnhigh-precision patterning film formation to be carriednout easily, in a short time, and at low cost. |
