The ultraviolet/infrared absorbent glass consisting of base glassnincluding: 65 to 80 wt. % SiO 2 ; 0 to 5 wt. % Al 2 O 3 ; 0 to 10 wt. % MgO; 5 ton15 wt. % CaO; 10 to 18 wt. % Na 2 O; 0 to 5 wt. % K 2 O; 5 to 15 wt. % a totalnamount of MgO and CaO; 10 to 20 wt. % a total amount of Na 2 O and K 2 O;n0.05 to 0.3 wt. % SO 3 ; and 0 to 5 wt. % B 2 O 3 , and colorants including: 0.2 ton0.55 wt. % the total iron oxide (T-Fe 2 O 3 ) expressed as Fe 2 O 3 ; 0.01 to 0.08nwt. % (excluding 0.08 wt. %) FeO; 0.8 to 2 wt. % CeO 2 ; 0 to 0.003 wt. %nCoO; and 0 to 1.5 wt. % TiO 2 , wherein FeO expressed as Fe 2 O 3 is in a rangenof 5 to 25 wt. % (excluding 25 wt. %) of T-Fe 2 O 3 . The ultraviolet/infrarednabsorbent glass plate comprising the ultraviolet/infrared absorbent glassnwherein the glass has the visible light transmittance of equal to or more thann80 %, the solar energy transmittance of equal to or less than 83 % and thenultraviolet transmittance of equal to or less than 17.5 %. The colored film-coatednultraviolet/infrared absorbent glass plate prepared by applying thencolored film with a thickness between 30 and 300 nm including the siliconnoxide and the fine grains of the gold onto the surface of the ultraviolet/infrarednabsorbent glass plate. The window glass of a vehicle comprising at least twonglass plates laminated with an inner layer of a transparent resin or a spacingntherebetween and at least one of said glass plates employing the colored film-coatednultraviolet/infrared absorbent glass plate wherein the glass has thenvisible light transmittance of equal to or more than 70 %, the ultravioletntransmittance of equal to or less than 15 % and the chromaticity expressed asna, b by using the Lab coordinates in ranges of -3≦a≦10 and -6≦b≦3. |
