abstract A membrane for separating mixtures of substances by pertraction, pervaporation and permeation of condensable gases or vapors is described, which has an active separation layer and which is designed as a composite membrane or as an integral-asymmetrical membrane. In this membrane, a homogeneous protective layer is arranged on the thin, active and imperfect separation layer, which has a diameter of 0.01 to 1 µm, the chemical composition of which is different from the chemical composition of the separation layer, which consists of a soluble polymer, copolymer or polymer mixture, the specific permeate flow of which is at least 2 times higher than the specific permeate flow of the separating layer and the selectivity of which is at least 2 times smaller than the selectivity of the separating layer. A method for producing this membrane is also described.
