Radioactive composition for use in the therapy of neoplastic and non-neoplasticndiseases by means of the application of radioactive sources inndirect contact with the tumor tissues or within the same, and for use as an aidnin radio-guided surgery, containing radioisotopes immobilized on biocompatiblenor bioabsorbable solid particles. The said solid particles are incorporatednin a biocompatible and bioabsorbable matrix consisting of a hypotonic gelncontaining, in water, from 2 to 30% by weight of polyvinylpyvrrolidone andnfrom 0.01 to 2% by weight of agar-agar or agarose. The invention also concernsna radiopharmaceutical kit or a kit for use in radio-guided surgery comprising,nas separate components, the single constituents of the above composition. |
