abstract | In the case of a method for the grounding of an aqueous suspension of organic substances, in particular sewage sludge (8), the suspension is introduced from above into a grounding basin (1), with a drainage layer (3) and above in the grounding basin above a lower seal (2) there is a plant substrate layer (5) in which plants (6) are planted. Through the drainage layer, water (9) is drawn off from the grounding basin, which has no significant dry matter content.
