titleOfInvention Breathable diaper
abstract The invention relates to a disposable diaper, comprising a liquid-permeable cover (1), a back sheet (2), an absorbing body (3) placed in a central zone (Z) of the diaper between the liquid-permeable cover (1) and the back sheet (2), and a pair of hydrophobic sealing flaps (5). Said sealing flaps (5) seal off and are connected to the back sheet (2) in a parallel line running along the longitudinal axis (15) of the diaper outside the absorbing body (3). Elastic means extending parallel to the longitudinal axis (15) of the diaper are also provided. A first pair (12) of said means forms a pair of first outer leg borders in the area outside said line-shaped connection between the sealing flaps (5) and the back sheet (2). A second pair (12) of the elastic means is fixed to the sealing flaps (5) in the area between the line-shaped connections thus forming a second pair of inner leg borders. In order to improve the microclimate in the area of the side elements, the diaper is characterized in that the back sheet (2) is liquid-tight but vapor-permeable in the central zone (Z) between the limits (20) formed by the outer pair of elastic means (13), in that the back sheet (2) is vapor and air permeable outside the central zone (Z) or the limits (20) and in that each of the line-shaped connections (9) between the sealing flaps (5) and the back sheet (2) forms a liquid barrier which blocks the passage of fluids to the air-permeable side elements (S).
