abstract A resin composition comprising a polyethylene naphthalenedicarboxylate, an antimony compound, a cobalt compound, and a phosphorus compound, wherein the phosphorus compound is represented by a specific structural formula and has an acid dissociation constant pKa of 1.0 or higher. The antimony compound was used as a polycondensation catalyst in producing the composition. The cobalt compound serves as a color regulator. The composition is excellent in transparency and color tone.
