abstract |
A filler-free granular PTFE powder having a high apparent density, a small average particle diameter, a sharp particle size distribution, a small quantity of electrostatic charge, a small angle of repose and an excellent powder fluidity, and a process for producing the same. A PTFE powder is granulated by stirring it in water in the presence of an organic liquid capable of forming a liquid/liquid interface with water and a nonionic surfactant and/or an anionic surfactant. A molding obtained from the granular powder is excellent in tensile strength and elongation and has a low surface roughness, a high dielectric breakdown voltage and a high degree of whiteness (Z value). |
