abstract The present invention is directed to a light-transmittingncolor film comprising oxides which have highnchemical resistance and excellent light-absorption effect,nmaking them available in a wide color range; a method fornproducing the same; and a coating solution used for formingnthe color film. In the light-transmitting color filmncomprising an oxide of an element which serves as a networknformer and oxides of transition metal elements serving asncoloring components, the element serving as a network formernis at least one selected from Si, Al, and B, and thentransition metal elements comprise Cu, Mn, and Ni; and thentwo types of oxides form a complex oxide. Moreover, a methodnfor producing the light-transmitting color film comprises:ncoating on the substrate a coating solution for forming thencolor film which contains at least one alkoxide of elementsnselected from Si, Al, and B which serve as network formers,nand as coloring components, transition metal salts comprisingnat least Cu, Mn, and Ni, and at least one organic compoundnhaving a functional group which can coordinate the transitionnmetals; and thereafter firing the substrate.
