titleOfInvention Monitoring arrangement and telecommunication network terminal
abstract 1. It is an object of the invention to provide a device or a method which increases the effectiveness of monitoring. The method according to the invention is characterized by the following steps: 1. receipt of the image information via a dial-up connection of a telecommunications network (ISDN), 2. Detection of the telephone number of the terminal station sending the image information, 3. Determination of a number assigned to the detected number, 4. Establishing a dial-up connection to the number determined, 5. Forwarding the image information or a text or a sound signal via the dial-up connection. n n n The device (S-BOX) according to the invention is characterized in particular in that the automatic dialing device (AUTO) is suitable at certain times for current picture information, a text or a sound signal via a dial-up connection to a second or third terminal (SERVER) in the event to transmit that the evaluation device (AUS) of the device (S-BOX) determines a correspondence between the current and further image information. At certain times, information about the current status of the monitoring is provided, regardless of whether an alarm has occurred or not. The monitoring point (SERVER) thus has the possibility to determine whether the device (S-BOX) according to the invention is in the operational state. If the device (S-BOX) does not report to the monitoring station (SERVER) after a specified maximum time period, it can assume that an alarm has occurred. The device (S-BOX) is a compact device with easy usability. It contains all the components required for monitoring and performing a monitoring service.
