abstract | Process for generating plasma with fluctuating power, in which an arc is ignited between an anode and a cathode and ionized with these vapors or gases. In order to be able to use plasma for a large number of applications, it is provided that the arc is operated with voltage pulses, the voltage present on the anode-cathode path being reduced below the arc arc voltage during the breaks between these voltage pulses, so that the arc in these pauses will cease. |
