abstract |
The present invention is an imaging base which includes anpolyester film support and an adhesion promoting layer directly adhered to ansurface of the support. The adhesion promoting layer is formed by the coating andnsubsequent drying of a coating composition comprising a gelatin-grafted-polyurethane.nThe gelatin-grafted polyurethane is covalently bound to thenpolyurethane through a grafting agent wherein the ratio of gelatin to polyurethanenis from 1:10 to 2:1. In one embodiment of the invention the imaging support isncoated with at least one silver halide emulsion layer to form a photographicnelement. |
