titleOfInvention | Dental porcelain |
abstract | Provided is a porcelain which is suitable as andental porcelain capable of being fired on a ceramicsncore and has a low firing temperature and a low thermalnexpansion coefficient and which is excellent in a chemicalndurability. The above dental porcelain comprisesnglass containing silicon oxide, aluminum oxide, boronnoxide, zinc oxide, sodium oxide and lithium oxide asnprincipal components. The contents of these respectivencomponents in the above glass are 57 to 65 % by weightnof SiO 2 , 8 to 18 % by weight of Al 2 O 3 , 15 to 25 % bynweight of B 2 O 3 , 0.1 to 2 % by weight of ZnO, 3 to 7 % bynweight of Na 2 O and 2 to 8 % by weight of Li 2 O respectivelynin terms of a percent by weight based on thentotal of the respective components when the respectivencomponents are reduced to SiO 2 , Al 2 O 3 , B 2 O 3 , ZnO, Na 2 Onand Li 2 O respectively. The particularly preferredndental porcelain comprises glass having a thermal expansionncoefficient of 6.0 × 10 -6 (1/°C) or less as anprincipal structural component. |
