titleOfInvention | Biaxially oriented, by hand fillable, tubular film for packaging and food stuffs |
abstract | This invention relates to a tubular, biaxially oriented, mono- or multilayer film for foodstuffs, in particular pasty foods e.g., sausages, consisting of at least one layer composed of a mixture of copolyamides, said film showing very good flexibility properties and a certain degree of surface roughness that improves the holding of the casing by hand during a manual stuffing process. The tubular film is composed of at least one layer including a first component being a mixture of at least two copolyamides and a second component being a substance that imparts roughness to the surface of the casing. In a preferred embodiment these copolyamides are PA 6/12 and PA 6/69. The second component can be an inorganic or an organic substance, provided that said organic substance resists the temperatures of the manufacturing process. As second component silicon dioxide is preferred. |
