abstract | The present invention relates to the regulation of the growth of top shoots (leaders) of trees belonging to the family Picea or Abies, in particular to a method for the treatment of such trees to reduce or even inhibit the growth of the top shoot (leader). The method comprises applying 1-naphthalene acetic acid to the top shoot in a suitable concentration. In a further aspect, the invention relates to trees of the family Picea or Abies obtainable by said method. |
