The invention provides methods of using probe arraysnfor polymorphism identification and profiling. Such methodsnentail constructing a first array of probes that span and arencomplementary to one or more known DNA sequences. This arraynis hybridized with nucleic acid samples from differentnindividuals to identify a collection of polymorphisms. Ansecond array is then constructed to determine a polymorphicnprofile of an individual at the collection of polymorphicnsites. The polymorphic profile is useful for, e.g., geneticnmapping, epidemiology, diagnosis and forensics. |
