This invention relates to an optimization method for driving anpiezoelectric actuator by dynamic detection of its electromechanicalncharacteristics, as well as to a device, in particular a phacoemulsifiernbased thereupon, such piezoelectric actuator including a voltage driven,ntwo-terminal (1a) piezoelectric transducer (1), said method beingncharacterized in that, for detection of its electromechanical characteristics,nthe drive of said transducer (1) is cyclically discontinued in order to detectnthe characteristic parameters of its free motion by detection of thenparameters of the signal generated by said transducer (1) at the ends ofnsaid two terminals (1a). |
