The present invention relates to a composite flexiblenhose, preferably for use in automotive air conditioningnsystems, with improved thermal resistance. The hosenconsists of an innermost core layer, a friction rubbernlayer, an intermediate reinforcement layer, and an externalncover layer. The innermost layer is a non-plasticizednpolyamide mixed with a minor portion of polyolefinncorresponding to the main rubber constituent of thenfriction coat layer. The friction coating is formed of anrubber composite of two EPDM rubbers at a weight ratio ofn50/50 and 75 parts by weight of carbon black. Thenintermediate fibrous reinforcement layer is formed ofnaramid. The external layer is an acrylate rubberncomprising a blend of two ethylene acrylates at a weightnratio of 50/50 and 80 parts by weight of carbon black. |
