Disclosed is a novel ruthenium-phosphine complexnusable as the catalyst giving a high enantiomer excess innan asymmetric reaction and a method for producing the complex,nthe method ensuring the synthesis of the complex as a purenand single product without the necessity of refining. Thenruthenium-phosphine complex is represented by the generalnformula (1):n [{RuX(L)} 2 (µ-X) 3 ] - [R 2 2 NH 2 ] + nwherein R 2 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group havingn1-5 carbon atoms, a cycloalkyl group, a phenyl group whichnmay have a substituted group or a benzyl group which may havena substituted group and L represents a diphosphine ligandnrepresented by the general formula (2):n nwherein R 1 represents a phenyl group or a naphthyl group whichnmay have a substituted group, a cyclohexyl group or ancyclopentyl group and X represents a halogen atom. Thenmethod for preparing a ruthenium-phosphine complexnrepresented by the above general formula (1) isncharacterized in that a ruthenium complex represented by thenformula [RuX(arene)(L)]X (wherein X, arene, L and R 1 are thensame as defined above) and an ammonium salt represented bynthe formula R 2 2 NH · RX (wherein X and R 2 are the same as definednabove) are used as starting material and are reacted withneach other. |
