The invention relates to an endoprosthesis with a joint consisting of a ball and a spherical cap which are constructed from hard ceramic (Al2O3). Said joint is neutral to the body, i.e. biocompatible, and, in principle, offers a high level of comfort to the wearer after implantation as long as the comfort would not be superimposed by a certain susceptibility to breaking of the joint, especially the ball. The invention provides a combination of hard ceramic materials with which the susceptibility to breaking is reduced. |
