abstract An odour controlling material is disclosed for removing or reducing odournemanating from certain gaseous or liquid compounds which materialncomprises an inorganic absorbent material doped with one or morendopants which are selected from the gaseous or liquid compounds andnderivatives thereof. Conventional adsorbent materials such as silica,nalumina, silicates and aluminosilicates can be used and a gaseous ornliquid compounds are preferably selected from fatty acids and derivativesnthereof, amines and ammonia and salts thereof, alcohols, aldehydes andnketones and heterocompounds. The odour control material is suitable fornincorporation in an absorbent article such as a pantiliner or a sanitarynnapkin.
