The invention concerns a novel type of capsule resulting from the covalent cross-linking of a biocompatible natural polymer, for example starch. The encapsulating method used provides the capsule with very high physico-chemical stability and enables encapsulation of fragile water-soluble or lipid soluble compound, and of cells. This novel technology can be used for stable encapsulation of cells of therapeutic interest, designed to be implanted. |
