Disclosed is a colorimetric sensor comprising polydiacetylenenmembrane liposomes, a polydiacetylene membrane film or finenparticles coated with a polydiacetylene membrane, in which thenpolydiacetylene membrane is incorporated with a protein havingna reduced molecular weight low enough not to cause color changenin the polydiacetylene membrane. The examples of thenreduced-molecular-weight proteins include an antibody Fab'nfragment, an antigenic protein of molecular weight of 100,000 ornless, and a peptide consisting of 3-20 amino acid residue, whichnundergo an antigen-antibody reaction with an antigen ornantibody contained in a sample. As the reduced-molecular-weightnprotein is also employed a combination of single-strandednDNA of 100 bases or less which hybridizes withnsingle-stranded DNA contained in a sample to form a double-strandednDNA, and an antibody which reacts with said double-strandednDNA but does not react with the single-stranded DNAncontained in the sample. A method for analysis of biosample isnalso disclosed, which comprises contacting the colorimetricnsensor with a solution sample and utilizing an absorptionnmeasurement or a visual observation with the naked eye tondetect color change in the polydiacetylene membrane. |
