The present invention provides an olefin polymerizationncatalyst component comprising a transition metal compoundnrepresented by general formula (1)n L m Cp n MX 1 X 2 n[wherein M is a transition metal atom of Group 4 in a periodicntable, Cp represents a cyclopentadienyl group, a substitutedncyclopentadienyl group, an indenyl group, a substitutednindenyl group, a fluorenyl group, or a substituted fluorenylngroup, and other symbols have the meanings as described in thenspecification], an olefin polymerization catalyst containingnthe catalyst component as a transition metal component, and anmethod of producing a polyolefin using the catalyst. n According to the present invention, polyolefins having anwide molecular weight distribution and excellent moldabilitynand containing small amounts of low molecular weight componentsncan be produced with high activity. |
