titleOfInvention | Disinfectant composition comprising glutaraldehyde and phenolic compounds |
abstract | Disinfectant composition comprising phenol and glutaraldehyde, characterised in that it is ready for use in its condition as such, in that it has the composition hereinafter expressed as percent by weight: <TABLE> optionally, additives to improve and stabilise the performance up to 30%, the complement to 100 being water, in that it possesses a pH comprised in the range 5-8, and in that the percent by weight of the glutaraldehyde must be higher than the sum of the percents by weight of the three phenolic components. The additives can be selected from the group comprising buffers, antioxidants, surfactants and sequestering agents. The peculiar composition according to the invention, besides offering significant advantages from the point of view of the disinfectant effectiveness, of the environmental protection and of cost-effectiveness, allows to simplify its application modalities, thereby avoiding the necessity of keeping separate until use the phenol and the glutaraldehyde solutions. |
