abstract |
The present invention relates to a process for dimerizingnlower olefins characterized by the use of a catalyst comprisingnthe following three components: (1) at least one salt or complexnof a transition metal belonging to the platinum group of thenperiodic table, (2) at least one organoaluminum compound and (3)nat least one inorganic metallic compound. n The invention provides a process for dimerizing lowernolefins with very high yield and selectivity and also with verynhigh yield per unit weight of catalyst. Also provided is ancatalyst to be used in said process. |
